Program that allows patrons to request free 3D Prints from the library.
Rules and Regulations:
- 500g of filament usage per person per year (this means a rolling 365 day year, not a single calendar year)
- No weapons or weapon props
- Patrons may provide their own filament up to 700g of additional printing per year
Process:
- Patrons locate or create a 3D model file (.stl, .obj, or .3mf preferred) and send the model along with dimensions and filament color requests to [email protected]
- Once the file has been received, the staff member will confirm that they have the color requested and add the file to the queue of items to print
- Once the item has completed printing, the staff member will email the patron to let them know that the item is ready to be picked up
